The project scope for UEE included the design, manufacture and commissioning of the 5kV generator switchgear, generator protection system, plc based control system, plc based grid connection load and head level control governor system, human machine interface system and balance of plant (station services) auxiliaries (MCC, DC system, invertor/ups system and standby generator), utility interface (status, power quality and metered values) system.
The equipment package included the custom design and specification of the generator neutral grounding transformer and generator grounding system. The step-up and interconnection substation package included the design and supply of the 25kV class switchgear, specification and procurement of the 5kV - 25kV step-up transformer, specification and integration of the transformer neutral grounding reactor, design and supply of the interconnection and transformer protection devices along with all protection settings and coordination with the interconnection utility.
The engineering package included complete drawings, testing and commissioning plans, quality assurance documentation, production testing reports, operations and maintenance manuals, installation cable and interconnection schedules.
Site services included all equipment testing, protection verification testing and control system verification testing. UEE also provided operator training and configuration of the remote monitoring and control station.
